Some info re our PVC
The plasticiser used in our PVC film is DEHP (di-ethyl-hexyl- phthalate) commonly known as DOP (di-octyl-phthalate), in normal use DEHP has no harmful effects.
The European Committee has declared DEHP to be non carcinogenic & non irritant.

The sheet is lead free & cadmium free.

The majority of the opaque films contain organic pigments.
The sheet conforms to the European Toy norm EN71/33, European Packaging regulation 94/62EC & Environmental Protection 1998 no 1165 (UK)

Recycling – Our film can be recycled dependant on the type of sheeting and the amount of contamination.

Standard magnet gloss laminate - litho printed

Clarifoil film is based on cellulose from woodpulp or cotton linters, which has been treated to produce cellulose diacetate. In addition, the film contains a small proportion of plasticiser to improve flexibility. Previous studies have shown that under suitable conditons cellulose diacetate will biodegrade. The plasticisers used in clarifoil are also capable of biodegradation, indeed, they degrade somewhat faster than the polymer itself. Clarifoil biodegrades much faster than oil-based polymers such as polypropylene and polyester.

This is the paper used for litho printed recycled fridge magnets.

This offset paper is made by a mill  that was designed specifically to manufacture high-recylced paper with a cholorine free process.  

Specification for ecologically sound paper is as follows:

100% totally chlorine-free (TCF) and 100% post consumer waste (pcw) recycled100% TCF and 50% plus pcw receyled (with any remaining virgin fibre 100% TCF and Forestry Stewardship Certified (FSC)100% TCF and 100% FSC. 

As above, any virgin fibres should carry the FSC logo.

Processing & Handling

· When laminating inkjet-prints sufficient drying of the prints has to be ensured. We recommend min. 12 hours.
